This project has a name and a face too. :-) It's called Heaps of Tours and is ruined by Vicente.
He says, that the whole idea came together from the knowledge adquired by working in hostels for over 5 years. Many friends were made, many experiences exchanged...and this goal came, sharing and providing the best experiences from both places, Lisbon and the Southwest of Portugal.
When Vicente shared this with us, we said, yes! It's a great idea, and we know that a lot of people will definitely join. The opportunity to travel between Lagos and Lisbon, through the most beautiful coast, hopping on and off in the best places is really something!

Open and full of friends! Spring came earlier to Lisbon and we are living perfect sunny days, with 20º degrees, which are just perfect to enjoy the city, the tours, the sun, the surf and the amazing terraces in Lisbon.
We also want to share with you that the renovation is done and we're happy to share some pictures. Everybody is astonished with the changes and the improvement we made.

The travel story of Maria Maruja and Joao Marujão could only happen in Lisbon.
All sailors who love to travel know that Lisbon's pier is perfect for fun.
Winter News in Lisbon? There is not. November arrived with sun, light and high temperatures. For us it was a blast: 20 degrees left us all happy and helped us go with more vigor and energy to the sea! Yes, because we continue to surf, even in winter !!
Life at the Goodnight Hostel left Maria and Joao delighted! Breakfast with little surprises! A morning chocolate cake helps to raise the morale, not to mention the pancakes, the fruit and the warm bread.
Walks in the city, free walking tours full of good advice and ideas, dinners inside and outside the hostel .... by the way, those dinners in that typical Portuguese restaurant who serves young sailors who love to eat a lot and well are wonderful! All you can eat and drink? No one resists to this appeal, because home-made food always reminds us of "our home" and also because Portuguese home-made food is especially delicious!
So, if you're joining the staff and go out for a dinner remember not to eat that much before dinner time and... Thumbs up for the olives, the bread, the roasted chorizo, the cod, the seafood rice, the wine and the sangria ..... the desserts !! There are so many fantastic desserts in Lisbon.
How many days do we have to stay in Lisbon and at Goodnight Hostel?
One, to stroll in the city (walk in the electric 28, go to the castle, visit Sintra, Surfing on Costa da Caparica .... or the beaches of Ericeira, or the Guincho, or just go "wet your feet to Cascais"
Two, to discover the more than a thousand "tasquinhas"Lisbon has and to taste all the snacks that are available: cod pasteis, croquettes, fish of the garden [peixinhos da horta], pataniscas, pasteis de nata, pillows of Sintra [Travesseiros], etc etc etc.
Three, to get to know the city "like a local" and go to the high viewpoints and beautiful places that Marco, Marta, Vicente or Vítor suggest.
Four and five and six, to enjoy every special sunset. :-)

A fresh breeze came from Tagus. Here we call it Tejo. Anyway, the sun shines in January and we miss you guys. This diary is the only way we know to keep you updated about Goodnight hostel.
As we were saying: A fresh breeze a strange sail in sight but no one fell from the top mast and drownded.
We are just taking care of our home. There a lot of workers painting, breaking, rebuilding and preparing our rooftop for the next adventures. Take a look!
